These Terms of Service govern vehicle transmission diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and remanufacturing services provided by MIERNIK AUTO SERWIS LTD across the United Kingdom.

2. Diagnostics, Written Estimates & Authorization
Prior to commencing mechanical disassembly or remanufacturing, a thorough preliminary evaluation is conducted, including electronic TCU diagnostic scanning and transmission fluid analysis.
Binding Written Quotations: The client receives a transparent cost estimate detailing parts, labor, logistics, and anticipated turnaround schedule. No chargeable work or component replacement is undertaken without prior client approval.
Cancellation / Inspection Fee: In the event that a customer decides not to proceed with a full rebuild following preliminary inspection, only the pre-agreed diagnostic fee and any incurred vehicle transport costs are payable.
3. Component Classification: OEM Parts & Specialist Upgrades
In full compliance with UK consumer transparency standards, we strictly categorize all fitted transmission components:
- Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM): Factory-specification components sourced from Tier-1 manufacturers, including ZF Friedrichshafen AG (genuine ZF 6HP/8HP/9HP clutches, solenoids, mechatronic seal bridges), BorgWarner (DSG / dual-clutch packs, pressure solenoids), and Schaeffler / LuK (original dual-clutch assemblies, dual-mass flywheels).
- Specialist Aftermarket Engineering: High-performance re-engineered aftermarket components designed to eliminate factory casting wear vulnerabilities and exceed factory tolerances, including Sonnax Industries precision-sleeved valve bodies, oversized hard-coat regulator valves, and heavy-duty torque converter clutch linings. Sonnax components are classified as specialist aftermarket solutions.
4. Commercial 6-Month Warranty & Statutory Consumer Rights (CRA 2015 s. 30)
Statement of Statutory Rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015, Section 30):
This commercial warranty is provided by MIERNIK AUTO SERWIS LTD in addition to, and does not limit, replace, or prejudice, your legal statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under the Act, you are entitled to services executed with reasonable care and skill, and parts supplied that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
Scope: MIERNIK AUTO SERWIS LTD provides a written 6-month warranty on every automatic gearbox, mechatronic unit, or torque converter remanufactured and fitted in our workshop.
Standard Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from low transmission fluid level, operating with active dashboard warnings, or external fluid contamination (e.g. radiator coolant leaks);
- Vehicle use in competitive motorsport, track days, or unauthorized ECU remapping stress;
- Pre-existing vehicle defects outside the repaired transmission unit;
- Repairs or modifications attempted outside our workshop without prior written authorization.
Notification: Any suspected transmission irregularity during the warranty period must be reported promptly in writing to [email protected].

Data Collection & Purpose: We collect only data strictly necessary to provide quotations, perform vehicle repairs, organize vehicle logistics, and maintain statutory accounting and warranty records (name, telephone, email, collection address, vehicle VRM/VIN, gearbox code, and fault description).
Retention: In compliance with HMRC statutory tax regulations and the Limitation Act 1980, invoicing and warranty records are retained for 6 years. Unaccepted inquiries are securely deleted after 12 months.
No Marketing Spam: We never sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party marketing entities. Data is shared exclusively with vetted operational partners (such as vehicle recovery drivers solely for pickup/delivery).
